Living in a jail is like living in a parallel universe. One has to disconnect from all family and friends. It is the time when feeling of helplessness and hopelessness becomes a reality. A constant anxiety feeling goes on with every second one spends in prison. Being in a jail can break the spirit of an individual. ·         Confusion and feeling lost – The shock experienced in the initial phase leads to total confusion. People start feeling lost and don’t know how to escape out from such emotions.
·         Loneliness–Even though an inmate sees lots of other people but still they feel lonely. This is a common emotion faced out by every inmate.
·         Depression – Many prisoners get depressed as they lose their hope of getting out of that place. They start realizing that there fantasies are far away from reality.
·         Uncertainty – Many prisoners start believing that they will not get the chance to go out from this place. This uncertainty makes it more painful to spend every moment out there.
·         Suicidal thoughts – This is the most common feeling for the people who are sentenced to long period of jail. They start thinking about various ways so that can end up their lives.


Prison inmate phone calls save inmates from such feelings as they can maintain strong communication with their loved ones. This communication is very important to make their serving time easy.
